The theme of the competition was ‘Connection’ and the photo I have sent for the program was my one of my favorites too. 8 Tips for Photographing Kids

1.Put them at Ease

Make them feel at home. You can’t force them to do something for the shoot. To bring out the essence of the natural child for a prized photograph, you need to make them feel natural and not conscious of being photographed. 2. Focus on your technicalities

Decide on the type of Photo you need to shoot, i.e., Portrait, Group, Activity, Games, etc. Accordingly select the lens type – long lenses,Adults Photography, Wide aperture for a Portrait and likewise, for a documentary-style use wider lenses etc. Make the surroundings blurred, focusing primarily on the subject.

3. Have Patience with Kids & Display Tolerance

By doing so, you bring out the best expression on the kids’ face and body language.

You should get down to their level. You are taller than your kids, so don’t look down on them all the time. It would be best if you got a genuine expression or a moment of warmth. You should lower yourself to their eye level as much as possible.

Be careful not to tire them out. You should shoot in quick short bursts to get them in their most energetic moments. Trying to force them to sit in one place will be counterproductive as they may tend to get irritable quite easily. Great outdoor locations include the beach, woodland, or an open field. You could also shoot in urban environments, using buildings to add detail to the background. Even a deserted parking lot or an overgrown patch of land can make an interesting backdrop. Turning one is beautiful, turning two is nice and lovely but turning three is super-cool and exhilarating to behold. Ashwamithran’s Birthday Party was themed with ‘wild’ elements. Entry was arranged with creepers and logs. Arun and love birds made it even beautiful. The event was filled with fun games and sweet gifts. As a Newborn- baby photographer, I was super exited to be a part of their joy.

Suhil’s birthday party was truly a beautiful example of unconditional love. Even though I had only met her parents and their guests for the very first time, you could see it in their eyes and the way they held her that clearly reflected their undivided attention, warmth and affection for the toddler. birthday celebrate this very special occasion with their loved ones and managed to plan the party within a short time frame! They also booked a bubbly clown that made colourful balloons and twisted them in different shapes and sizes for kids and even for the grandparents. There was a special appearance from Kung Fu Panda and apparently it was Suhil’s favourite animal! The birthday cake was probably the prettiest I’ve seen to date and I loved how detailed the baker was in piping the cute animal figurines that were nestled on different tiers of the cake. Despite the long night, Suhil was not cranky and laughed unabashedly as she played with the faces of all the adults that carried her. It was only at the tail-end of the night did she start to yawn but she still retained her smiling and cheerful demeanor!
